Completion of coarse pre-treatment before the Main Pumping Station
CENTRAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT (ÚČOV) PRAGUE – COMPLETION OF COARSE PRE-TREATMENT BEFORE THE MAIN PUMPING STATION (HČS)
Name of contract: ÚČOV Prague – Completion of coarse pre-treatment before the HČS
Term of delivery: 2018
SPECIFICATION
This involves demolishing the existing Upper Horizon Pumping Station (hereinafter “UHPS”), which provides for the coarse pre-treatment of wastewater, and the construction of a new building on the same site in the Císařský ostrov complex of Prague 6.
The Central Wastewater Treatment Plant (hereinafter “WWTP”) ) on Císařský ostrov in Prague is a mechanical-biological wastewater treatment plant supplied with city sewerage from all over Prague.
SOLUTION
This project involved the preparation of electrical and instrumentation documentation (measurement and regulation) in accordance with Decree 499/2006 Coll., first in the stage for the building permit (DSP) and then the documentation for the actual construction (DPS).
The documentation prepared by us provided the basis for the construction company to carry out the work itself.
The documentation is divided into:
• D.1.4.4 BUILDING ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS
• D.2.2_PS 02 – ELECTRICAL TECHNOLOGICAL PART
• D.2.3_PS 03 – INSTRUMENTATION
The documentation is further divided into a temporary part (during the reconstruction) and post-reconstruction part.
The power supply for the switchboards is from two independent sources (2 transformers) of the master substation – power supply stage no. 2.
The design of the substation was elaborated within the documentation. The electrical and M&R switchboards are located in the substation. Furthermore, the building electrical installation (sockets, lights, drawer cabinets) is designed here.
BASIC CHARACTERISTICS
All equipment must be selected with regard to impacts on the UHPS. Within the current building, the formation of hydrogen sulfide has prematurely degraded the copper-based electrical equipment. The new project therefore focuses on special fully tinned cables suitable for WWTPs, on a suitably selected ventilation for the substation (from the outside, not from within the hall) and, last but not least, protective spraying of the switchboards against hydrogen sulfide prior to commissioning.
Key benefits of our solution:
- Environmental solution
- Automatic operation without the constant presence of operators
