TEMEX research and development center
“Support for industry” subsidies have helped us to invest primarily in our future. Here you will find our deliveries of machinery, CNC machines, etc.
Research and development center
This large-scale project was successfully implemented thanks to the support of the European Regional Development Fund, OP Enterprise and Innovation for Competitive¬ness. The main goal of the project is the development and testing of new technologies for their application in industrial automation.
“We have been developing and innovating for many years, but not to the extent that current trends now require. The additional growth of our company means placing ever more importance on having our own specialized center dedicated to systematic and consistent development and innovation. The goal of our project is to create a VICP 4.0 development and innovation center, which will prepare our products for the industrial revolution – Industry 4.0. Achieving this goal requires us to improve and expand our existing research and innovation activities, which are the cornerstones of introducing Industry 4.0 into our production process,” said Roman Vybíral, Director of Strategy.
The equipment and facilities of the research center can also be used by third parties. A list of the equipment and basic conditions for such cooperation can be found in the attached document below.
The project “TEMEX RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER” was co-financed by the European Union.
Expanding the production of single-purpose machines with a machining center
The business plan “Expanding the production of single-purpose machines with a machining center” was a key milestone for TEMEX for the further development of the company. Since 1997, the company has been engaged in the development and production of single-purpose machines according to customer specifications, and this business plan has moved it to one of the top places on the market. It was necessary to reduce the components produced outside the company, to speed up the production of machine parts, and to improve the operation of multiple component development. In addition, high demands were placed on logistics for the transport of these components. The intention of the project was to build a complete CNC center. By 31 December 2014, the center had been equipped with two CNC milling machines, which are connected online to the design department, with accessories for the CNC milling machines, a product marker, measuring table, measuring tools, band saw, disc grinder, table circular saw and the necessary facilities. This eliminated the main causes that limited our capabilities in terms of increasing efficiency in the development of single-purpose machines. All this has an impact on shortening the implementation deadline and subsequently on increasing our competitiveness on the market and the final price of orders.
The implementation of the project also saw an increase in our workforce – two operators trained to work the CNC machines, one production preparer and one worker for the preparation of programs. By 31 December 2014, these workers had been trained to run the machines in trial operation. All machines are working and serviceable.
The mandatory indicators were met after the required machines had been installed and commissioned:
• CNC milling machines 1 and 2 (A1 -MCV 1016 QUICK, A2 -MCV 1016 QUICK)
• Accessories for CNC milling machines
• Wire drawing machine (CHMER G43S)
• Product marker (e10-c153)
• Measuring table (TESA Micro-Hite 3D-i 454 measuring instrument)
• Measuring tools
• Band saw (ERGONOMIC 320.250G-F)
• Disc grinder (ACETI 105)
• Circular table saw (MKS 275 N)
A tender was announced for all of these above machines with regard to their price and delivery date.
Expansion of the machining center due to the increase in orders
As part of the project “Expansion of the machining center due to an increase in orders”, number: 2.2 RV03/4930, our machining center was retrofitted with milling and drilling equipment, which is connected online to the design department and a set of tools for CNC milling.
This retrofitting of our machining center is a great benefit for our company and so a benefit for increasing employment in the region. This removed the main reasons limiting our capabilities in terms of increasing efficiency in the development of single-purpose machines, which leads to shorter implementation deadlines, and subsequently to increasing our competitiveness on the market and the price of our orders.
The implementation of this project likewise saw an increase in our workforce – 2 machinists trained to operate the CNC machines.
By 30 November 2015, these employees had been properly trained and were involved in operations. All machines, including the new milling and drilling center, are fully working and serviceable. A tender was announced for the required technology with regard to its price and delivery date. The mandatory indicators were met after the required technology had been installed and commissioned.
The MCV 754 QUICK milling-drilling machine is designed for drilling, boring, reaming, thread cutting and milling larger parts and those with complex shapes. The automatic tool change makes it possible to work in an automatic cycle.
Using special accessories, the machine enables the machining of parts from four sides, the machining of helices, and the use of productive tools with the supply of coolant in the middle.
